May 23rd - Queer Nature Walk
Join Fierté Sudbury Pride & Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury for a Queer Nature Walk
Take a slow walk and soak in the forest with fellow 2S-LGBTQIA+ community members and allies. This walk will be led by Jean & Kat!
We will meet at the Kinsmen Sport Complex in Lively, and start on the trail heading towards Fielding Park. We will be travelling at a naturalist’s pace (i.e. slow!), and we expect to see some beautiful signs of spring, such as migrating birds, northern oak fern, twinflower, and more, while being surrounded by tall conifers.
How to get there:
Bus 101 to Lively – stop at the intersection of Mikkola & Hillcrest. 7 minute walk to the trail head.
We also encourage folks to carpool – there will be a place where you can express interest in carpooling while registering.
There is lots of parking at the Kinsmen Sport Complex.
Accessibility and level of difficulty:
The terrain is a packed dirt trail, with some roots, uneven ground, and staircases. This trail is rated as moderate difficulty, likely on the easy side of moderate.
